4) how did you see new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages
whilst making our music video was used many new technologies to construct our work. using the new technology all in which helped our music video be the best to our ability. the technology that where used was I,Mac computers, high definition camears to make our work even better when we filmed it. tri pod whilst we filmed so it didn't make our work shake and it was a nice still image. and final cut software which was also on the I Mac this helped us do our editing and finish our work on time! by having all these new technologies made it alot easier as filming process was cut to alot faster to film the footage. this then gave us time to edit our work and get it done to the highest of our ability.
here's a picture of us working in final cut!!
using final cut was a multifaceted and hard software to use at first, however after having lesson on how to use it it become a lot more easier and as shantelle done work experience in media she was know to the software which made It alot easier for the whole group. this speed things along abit. it was harder as well as last years we used Imovie which was harder so using final Cut was a bonus. as we wanted to use different layers we fought it very hard at first however once we got the hang off it we was able to dissolve the layers within the music video. whereas the effects on final cut was easier to put in all you had to do was pull and save, the only thing that took its time on final cut was rendering which took long at times!!
Here's a picture of the side tool bar.
this tool bar is what we used to edit all our work as we needed the first tool to click drag, and cut our work.
here is an image of the i Mac without this I mac we wouldn't off been able to do our video as it had all hard work on it, such as the final cut without this then our video wouldn't off been edited and it wouldn't of been as good as it is.
Research;
We done research when it come to making our music video, this was to help us gain ideas to put into our video. We looked at music videos such as Alphabeat - Fasination. We got the idea of using diferent colours and bits falling from the background. In our video we used different lighting, and used balloons falling down. We also saw that they used microphones, so we thought that would be a good idea to use them. We also liked the idea of using one girl and one boy within out music video, so we used that, and worked out good. Another video we looked at was called 'White Stripes', we liked the idea of the backgorund moving into the foreground.

3) what have you learned from your audience feedback?
Whilst we was making our music video we created a questionnaire on survey monkey, this was to find out what people wanted to see in music video's and what attracts them to music videos. once the questionnaire was finished i then linked the questionnaire to my social networking site (facebook) as facebook has many people logging on to it every day.
I then made another one once i was finished to see what people fort off our music video and these was the comments back.
for question one i asked: is our music parallel with our music video?
from the survey i found out that 80% agreed with my music is parallel with the music video, however 20% didn't find it parallel. i don't know why they didn't find it parallel as you can see i only made the question to answer YES and NO. maybe i should of said explain why after.
Another question i asked was: how did our music video make you feel?
10% of the people said it made them feel confused. however the other 90% said it made them happy it was enjoyable.
another question we wanted to find out was: if you see our music video would you then go and buy our CD? another one is how effective is our didgipak to selling our CD?
for question 3 it was a 50 50 answer, however for our didgipak it was 60% that said yes and the other 40% said no. i think our didgipak is very interesting and makes you want to pick our CD up to have a look, then maybe once they have seen the music on the back they shall purchase.
another question we gave our audience out of six different answers that they could choose from about what they liked about the music video. With this question we allowed the audience to pick up to six answers here are the results below shown in a bar graph.
As show below the number of people who likes the location was five out of ten, from this I was able to see that the audience thought that i should have used a different location in the video instead of the one location. Ten out of ten people likes the colour used in the video as well as the actors that we used and the props such as the balloons. Eight people out of the ten liked the lighting, this may be because the theme of the lighting was red and white, which some may not like, as well as the hair and makeup, there wasn’t anything different about the hair and makeup apart from it being simple.
As a group we was all happy with the over all scoring we received. Question was; on the scale to one to five, how would you rate our music video. We received four goods whilst the others were brilliant meaning that over half of our audience thought that our music video was brilliant. Question 6; ‘ do you think that the music video was appropriate to the song/lyrics, 100% of people who took the questionnaire said yes. This shows that we really thought about what the lyrics said, and tried to make a video with it, and it worked.
Overall, with our aundience feedback, i think as a group we are happy, this is becuase it shows that people liked it, so all the hard work put in was a success.

1) In what ways dose your media use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products
Our media product uses many forms and conventions of real media product.
When we come to create our music video, we gathered alot of ideas from different music videos that have already been made. Our first idea was from White Stripes. When we watched the video we really liked the idea of background moving, and a new image appears. however we then found the fascination from alphabet.
Our video has also developed some forms and conventions of real media projects, most media products of a similar nature to ours uses a storyline this helps the video flow and progress
within the music video it draws parallels with the music video fascination from Alphabet. this is due to the use of single and double characters.
for these images as you can see the alphabet are using petals however as we are going to use a school class room picking up petals was tending to be very awkward so using balloons was found a lot easier!!
as for white stripes they used the fading effects this is where we got our ideas from here is a clear picture to show you how we done it ours aren't exactly the same due to the time of songs but we decided we like the fading scenes!!
We used lip synching, instrument shots, and extensive editing.
here is images of rhea using the lip synching i also have a picture of the Alphabet which we used as a guide line!!
Below are pictures from alphabeats video compared to our music video with Ryan and Rhea
Below is a Picture of the male lead out of alphabeat against a picture of Ryan as you can see the shoot is simular with the mike angles and the shoot angles. it also uses the same background however the alphabeat have used a painted wall our background has been made up from a whte background with lights working from it!

final filming session done!!
i haven't been in all week as i have been ill so Bobbi and Shnatlle have been doing most of the work!!
On Wednesday the 9Th of February Shantelle and Bobbi - Jane set up for our new scenes that needed to be filmed. unfortunate Bobbi - Jane has to leave early therefore Shantelle filmed Ryan and Rhea's ending scenes. With the help from her two Friends, Rosela Doda and Kirty Fletcher. The filming took place in the drama rooms at school.
Our footage was based on Ryan and Rhea having fun with the balloons. we had fifteen balloons fall and Ryan and Rhea, below is a picture of our set that we used.
As well as the balloons we used three electric fans and two cameras this is so all the footage that we had was the same but from a different angle. This saved a lot of time for Shantelle to film the footage.
In all it took four hours to get the last scenes for out music video. Even though it was a stressful process where happy with the ending scenes and I'm looking forward for our final completion to be done and see all of our efforts.

starting filming the new ideas
friday 4th February 2010
today Shantelle was going to film rhea and ryan with the new ideas. she hoped everything went to plan. during this it will be stressful for Shantelle has she is on her own! as i wasn't able to help as i had a driving lesson. the plan for today was to film the scenes in two hours, Ryan and Rhea are going to get changed through out the film to create a different effects to help the music video upgrade a bit!

new animatic
Because not all of our editing and filming have not happened like we would like it. Therefore we have now decided to re film and simple but yet technically music video, our idea came from the White Stripes video, we liked this idea as the picture zooms into another picture, this gives our video credit. We will use Ryan and Rhea only in our video, they will both be lip singing and they will only feature in the video. Ryan and Rhea will be having three sets of clothing through out the video. The location will be in our drama rooms, where we are able to use to different coloured lights and crops to make our video more interesting

New locations!
As we need to film again and only have two weeks to do so. we have to change the locations for Ryan and Rhea as they don't want to travel to London again so we are going to film round Dagenham. however myself and Alex cant film our part on the horse over the green as they are building on it so there is a big heap of mud which wouldn't look so good in the film so yet again we are gonna have to film somewhere else maybe a park with a lake?

Digipack
Digipak is a patented style of compact disc or DVD packaging,digipak-style packaging is often used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums. Digipaks are made out of card stock or heavy paper or cardboard material. The digipacks can flip open like a book, or it has three parts so that one portion of the packaging opens to the right and one to the left, with the CD in the middle.
The advantages and disadvantages of digipaks:
*They look nice, and the bands and labels like to use them for aesthetic reasons.
*Digipacks don't crack like jewel cases do, but they do rip and the paper begins to peel apart and separate
Not as much protection because of the paper based casing

so close yet so far!!
editing our music video we have it all planned out and cut just need to stick it in so it matches the music! rhea and Ryan's filming worked! Bobbi and James worked! however myself and Alex went wrong! us lipsing didn't fit in with the music, so therefore we have to film it all over again, us riding the horse is not a good idea i think as you cant really see us lipsing due to trying to view the horse so therefore we cant zoom in on my face!. this has made us slightly behind!. once we have filmed my part again we should be on the road again!!
meeting the deadline
our music video was due in on the 17Th December!
however we didn't meet our deadline!! : (
